R G Kar Medical College authorities have issued notices to 51 doctors, house staff, and 11 interns, accusing them of “engaging in behaviour that promotes a culture of intimidation.” These individuals have been asked to appear before an enquiry committee on September 11.
The college has also barred the accused from entering the campus and participating in any college activities. Several of those summoned are reportedly close to former principal Sandip Ghosh, a prime suspect in the August 9 rape and murder case.
The decision was made during a Special Council Meeting held at the college on September 9.
